Michael has substantial professional experience in complex products liability cases and has served, or is serving as a Court-appointed Executive, Steering or major committee member in complex cases, including, by way of example, the following recent cases: In re: Social Media Adolescent Addiction Prod. Liab. Litig., MDL 3047 (N.D. CA) (Plaintiff’s Executive Committee, Chair of TikTok Discovery Committee and Co-Chair of the Local Government Entity Subcommittee); In re: Juul Prod. Liab. Litig. MDL 2913 (N.D. CA) (Plaintiffs Steering Committee member, Co-chair of Discovery Committee and Chair of the Law and Briefing Committee); In re: Xarelto (Phila. C.C.P. He worked as a subcommittee member responsible for crafting the Vioxx trial package and assisted in the negotiations, and crafting of the Settlement Agreement that led to the 4.85 Billion dollar settlement with Merck. He served as a joint defense and plaintiff review committee member for the Vioxx Settlement Program.

He has represented those injured by various products, including Social Media Platforms, Juul, Talcum Powder, Xarelto, Pradaxa, Tylenol, Yaz/Yasmin, Hip Implants, Diethylstilbestrol (DES), Ortho Evra Birth Control Patch, Vioxx/Bextra/Celebrex, Fosamax, Digitek, Actos, and Cough Cold and Diet Medications containing Phenylpropanolamine (PPA).

He is a frequent seminar instructor and lecturer in the area of mass torts. He was selected Pennsylvania Rising Star – Super Lawyers, in 2005 and in 2009-present as a Pennsylvania Super-Lawyer. He is an Advisory Board member, LexisNexis Practice Guide(s): Pennsylvania Civil Pre-Trial Practice, and Pennsylvania Civil Trial Practice, 2017-present Editions.

Michael was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from West Virginia University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1991) and Temple University, School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1995).

He is admitted to the United States District Courts, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
